Plainsboro Library of Things
NOW LIVE!
Welcome to the Plainsboro Library of Things (PLoT), Plainsboro Public Library’s newest collection!
Generously funded by the New Jersey State Library through LibraryLinkNJ’s Level Up Your Library mini-grant program, the PLoT allows you to borrow non-traditional items such as equipment and tools from the library just as you would books and media:
- Time to give the deck a wash during the summer? Come and borrow our pressure washer!
- Want to get in a game of tennis or bocce with friends? Place a hold on our tennis racquets or bocce set!
- Bought the perfect dress that doesn’t fit quite right? Check out our sewing machine and fix it yourself (and sign up for one of our Tailoring programs if you need some help getting started!)
Save the space that would have been taken up by low-use items, or try out new hobbies before investing in them. Learn how to use craft tools and household equipment through introductory programs at the library. The PLoT aims to educate through direct, hands-on use, and assist our community in conserving space and waste. (Available for Plainsboro account holders over age 18. When placing holds, please make sure that the hold is placed on the account of the adult picking up the item!)
This project is supported by funds from LibraryLinkNJ as part of the Level Up Your Library mini-grant program.
