Moments in Time: Africa

With degrees in both art and science, I worked as a Medical Illustrator at the San Francisco Veterans Administration Hospital.  I went on to serve in the Peace Corps designing educational materials for the Medical Training Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. I continued working overseas on health-related programs for the United Nations and other non-profit organizations in Jamaica, Somalia, Nigeria, and Sao Tome and Principe.

During my travels, I have developed a special interest in traditional world cultures. This inspires and informs my artwork.   I try to depict life in developing countries, paying homage to the dignity and humanity of ordinary people.
