About the teen: My name is Simran Ajwani, and I am a highschool senior. Have you ever wondered why online ads always seem so targeted? How google maps reroutes when there is a crash? How your netflix feed is so personalized to your taste? Ever since I discovered the field of Data Science in middle school, I was immediately intrigued, and I thought it was fascinating that you could apply analytic techniques and identify patterns to extract information from data for strategic descion making. That sounds like a mouthful, but this is why I created a Data Science program at the library, to spread my passion to learners at a young age. I love working with kids, and as a kid myself, I always wanted to know how things work.
