NJ HealthConnect @ Your Library
Borrow an iPad with NJHealthConnect@YourLibrary at the 1st-floor Information Desk!
Thanks to a generous grant from the New Jersey State Library, the Plainsboro Library has joined the NJHealthConnect@YourLibrary program to offer iPads with telehealth and other health-oriented apps for patron use, both in the library and at home!
One iPad can be checked out for two weeks for home use, while the other will remain in the library for those who wish to use it here. Contact the first-floor Information Desk for more information.
The iPads come preloaded with 24/7 telemedicine apps linked to 14 major hospital systems, as well as meeting apps (Zoom and Google meetings), mental health resources, crisis hotlines, and the latest information on COVID-19:
Please note that the library provides the iPads and related equipment only; the user or user’s insurance must cover any costs for medical services. However, a telehealth session often costs significantly less than an in-person appointment and offers more flexible timing.
