Breakfast and Books: Chat with Director Darren Miguez
May 1 (In-Person) | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Every first Sunday in 2022, come to the library at 10:00am to have donuts and coffee with Library Director Darren Miguez. He would love to talk with you about how you use the library, future plans for the institution, and what you want to see out of your Plainsboro Public Library. Darren may debut new resources, note upcoming events, ask for input on product demos, and note what he’s reading currently. Stop by to talk, grab a donut and chat about the library! Register on our calendar for a reminder.

Suraj’s Chess for Kids with Special Needs: Intermediate
May 1, 8, 15, 22 (Zoom) | 1:30pm – 2:00pm
Teaching chess to students has very little to do with the rules of the game. It is much more about their development. The key to teaching chess to someone with Autism is communication, creating a world so small that it becomes purely about the 64 squares in front of them. Clear rules and structure provide safety when they attempt this new game. They discover it is safe to talk about their plan of attack, how they will defend their king, and what they will be doing next with the person they are playing with.
