Lines, Lights, Color & Space
by Tatiana Rodionova

Artist, Tatiana Rodionova, was born and raised in the beautiful, old Russian city St. Petersburg. She graduated as an architect and worked for an architectural firm before relocating with her family to the United States.  Currently, she resides in East Brunswick, NJ. Her interest in art developed strongly during her high school and college period and continued during the time she worked in the United States. While working, she studied art under several New Jersey artists, including Joanne Amantea, Robert Hyers, Maurice Mahler, and Solomon Kadoche.  Later, she attended artist workshops in New York and  taught classes for kids in various private schools and in Michaels stores.

Tatiana is a member of the Suburban Artists Guild (SAG). Currently, she is retired from work and has more time to spend on her art.

She works in various media including acrylic, watercolors, pastels, collage, colored pencils and mixed media.   Her work has been exhibited in solo and art groups shows in galleries, art clubs, and libraries throughout New York and New Jersey. Her works are owned by individual collectors in the United States and Europe.

Tatiana explains:

“As a multidisciplinary artist, I use different media to help express my inner feelings. In addition, in my work I seek a balance between simplicity, difficulty and imperfection. The play between reality and abstraction, between the divine and the obscure, brings new color, marks, textures, and ideas to my work.”

I hope you enjoy my art works as much as I enjoyed making them.

The exhibit will open on July 2 and will be up through July 30.
The artist will host a “Meet the Artist” reception on Saturday, June 19th from 2pm to 4pm at which patrons can ask questions and learn more about the artist and his work. Light refreshments will be served.
