Zest! Food that’s fun to make & good for you

This will be a 60-minute presentation and discussion – not a cooking demonstration.

Laurie will introduce Zest! which is more than a typical cookbook. It offers guidance and practical tips about creating healthy, full-flavored, delicious meals while enjoying the process of meal preparation.

Zest! is organized in 7 sections. The first section provides the reader with guidelines for becoming a more creative cook, how to turn leftovers into “love agains,” how to stock the pantry, fridge, and freezer with ingredients to make mouth watering, healthy meals quickly.

The sections that follow contain tips and specific recipes for soups, fish dishes, salads/sauces/dressings, chicken dishes, veggies, and egg dishes. The recipes are designed to bring out the “inner creative cook” with lots of ingredient options for cooks to feel confident experimenting and improvising their own recipes.

About the author :

Laurie Tema-Lyn : “Creativity and nourishment have been foundations for my life and my work.” Zest! wast born in the heyday of the pandemic, grounded in research during which I held conversations with a range of people across the US who told me they were struggling because restaurants and take-out options were limited, and they were bored with their own cooking. They were craving new ideas and inspiration and these qualities have long been my “secret powers.”
