The Creation Station: Interactive Music Performance
Part of the Connecting NJ to India through the Telematic Collisions Concert Series. Live performance with Trevor New (in-person NJ) and Gaurab “Gaboo” Chatterjee (beaming in from Kolkata, India). Using an interactive audio-visual system developed by Trevor called “Cohere Touch” the “Creation Station”, is a place where performers and participants can gather both in-person and virtually to create a new multimedia piece by making sounds, playing music, drawing, moving, and sharing their skills with each other. During the performance we’ll do a series of creative activities using the Creation Station to discover some of our creative tools and, with the help of the performers, we will use these tools to make our new piece. A recording of the new creation will be made available to everyone to keep forever!
This event uses technology developed in partnership with En.J.inn Arts and the American Composer’s Orchestra that fosters total accessibility regardless of location and the use of high-end production and conferencing technology to allow audiences and artists to collaborate.
