Aleksandra (Sasha) Seletskaya is the featured artist during the month of May.

Aleksandra works in various mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolors, gouache, pastels, alcohol ink and mixed media. Her works are very personal, lyrical and feminine. They present themes and environments that are light-filled and radiate well-being and serenity. Her arts offer the viewer an intimate access to her subjects and their surroundings. Aleksandra explains: “my work is often inspired by moments, places or memories I associate with wilderness of the natural world and introspective nature. When I choose a subject, I am drawn to the magic of the water and the sky, the trees and flowers. I try to lure the viewer to the tranquility and peace that can be seen in stars, a forest, a trellis, cascading acacia. Painting is like magic; in a way you bring things to life that you just typically won’t see.”
