Eye Health Workshop (Plainsboro Township Lions Club)
Sunday, October 20, 1-3pm
1st Floor Community Room
Getting your eyes checked is much more than just seeing if you need glasses.
Yes, glasses and contact lenses are both great ways to correct your vision, and are important for all things visual: reading, driving, and living life. But your eyes are actually the window to your health! Eye exams can catch high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, some types of cancer, and more.
In addition, eyes get sick too. They can get cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration — all things that can be managed, as long as they are detected. The importance of regular eye care cannot be overstated. It’s fast, easy and vital. At this workshop, we’ll learn all about your eyes and how to take care of them.
No registration required!
Speaker: Dr. Paul Neiheiser, an optometrist for over 30 years at Allied Vision Services, in Plainsboro Plaza. He examines and treats patients of all ages, and works with area specialists when more complex care is needed.
