Hand-Painted Ceramic Tile by Adrian Nicoara

Through June 20

The Plainsboro Library presents a collection of hand-painted and fired ceramic tile art by Central Jersey artist Adrian Nicoara. The exhibit includes original portraits, landscapes, and still life, as well as interpretations of classical art; it also includes decorative tiles and plates. Most of the work is created on 6 inch tiles, arranged in groupings that measure 12 inches to 36 inches. They are edged in copper, and assembled in high quality hand-made wooden frames with inlaid fabrics or papers, which serve to enhance the tiles within. The public is invited to an art reception on Sunday, June 3, 2 – 4 pm. The exhibit runs May 26 – June 20, 2018.
