2018 Annual Art Group Exhibit: Art & Music

June 23 – August 1

“Art & Music” is an exhibit by members of the library’s adult artists’ group. It presents a wide variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting, ink dropping, collage, embroidery, and even a video short. The designated theme is open to broad interpretation, with only a few phrases to guide the participating artists: Art inspired by music. Art made from music. Art about music.  Art that makes music.

The show will offer two Best-in-Show awards, one chosen by the participating artists (Artists Choice), and one chosen by the public (People’s Choice). If you would like to vote, stop by the gallery, view the art, and vote for your favorite entry! See the rules by the gallery entrance. Voting will end on Sunday, July 1, at 12 pm. Award  will be presented to the artist at the reception on Sunday, July 1, at approximately 3:15 pm. You may only vote one time.  Any ballots that look suspicious will negate both (or all) related ballots.

The public is invited to meet many of the artists and ask them about their entries at a reception on Sunday, July 1, 2 – 4 pm.

The Plainsboro Library Artists’ Group is open to all area adult artists, 18 and older, professional and amateur, and provides an opportunity to critique artwork and to network. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the library.
