Plainsboro Public Library – September 2017—Members of the Plainsboro Library’s Artists’ Group hold their 2017 Annual Exhibit, “Dreamscapes”, with a wide array of drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, handmade felt, and recycled art. This year the artists are asked to share their dreams – but the interpretations may be varied: an imaginary landscape, a fantastical landscape, or a real-life landscape that is improved or changed; a dream or a nightmare; a figment of the imagination; goals or visions. A reception, open to the public, will be held in the gallery on Monday, September 11, from 6 – 8 pm, during the regular artists’ group meeting time. The exhibit runs through September 27.
The exhibit will include works by West Windsor and Plainsboro artists Liz Adams, Vimala Arunachalam, Susan Freeman, Sweety Mehta, Sandhya Modi, Maria Pisano, Pratibha and Praveen Raju, Siripala Ranaweera, Janet Marion Simmons, Allison Singer, Donna Senopoulos, and Tatiana Sougakova. The artists’ group also has members from many of the surrounding communities; participating artists from these areas include Ellen Aiken, Beverly Fredericks, Thelma Fried, Joelle Hofbauer, Art Lee, Lonni Merrill, Adrian Nicoara, Elizabeth Peck, Sandy Rosen, Laurie Schwartzer, Nancy Scott, Aleksandra Seletskaya, Poonam Singh, Evie Sutkowski, and Lynn Varga.
The Plainsboro Library Artists’ Group is open to all area adult artists, professional and amateur, and provides an opportunity to critique artwork and to network. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the library.
The Plainsboro Library is located at 9 Van Doren Street, Plainsboro, NJ. Hours are 10-8:30 Monday – Thursday, and 10-5 Friday – Sunday. For more information about the exhibit or the artists’ group, contact Donna Senopoulos at 609-275-2897.
